Holiday Party Entertainment

Celebrate the holidays with live entertainment!

Corporate Event and Private Event Holiday Parties

December is one of the busiest months for dueling pianos because of the high volume of requests for holiday party entertainment. Holiday parties are one of the most common ways for a company to show its appreciation for its employees, and we at Lo-Fi Jukebox can help make it a memorable experience. Whether you need musical entertainment for a corporate event with colleagues or a private event at your home with friends and family, we can get your guests singing, clapping, or dancing.

Hire us for your next Chicago Holiday Party!

DINNER MUSIC:

If food's being served at your event, we understand that dinner time is an opportunity for people to chat and catch up.  We can provide live background music while your guests enjoy their meal and immediately switch gears when it's time to party.

SHOWTIME:

When the dancefloor opens, we try to make sure it's packed.  We want people singing at the top of their lungs to Sweet Caroline, dancing along to "I Wanna Dance with Somebody, or doing the "crocodile clap" to Crocodile Rock.  When the music starts, we keep the energy as high as possible for the rest of the night.

AUDIENCE INTERACTION:

Our whole philosophy is built around the idea that your  guests are the "Star" of the show.  We love to include people on stage! Whether it's a dance competition, teaching them to play a rock and roll solo on the keys, or doing a conga line, Lo-Fi Jukebox wants your guests raving about how much fun they had.

YOU REQUEST THE SONGS:

While we provide an entire PA system, lights, and two baby grands, the one thing we don't bring is a setlist. That's where your guests come in! With an all-request show, they let us know what songs they want to hear the most. We build our show around their favorite tunes.

STRUCTURING THE TIMELINE FOR YOUR EVENT:

This is a really helpful strategy for improving the success of your event.

Based on multiple events we've done, we highly recommend following this timeline structure.

1. Cocktail Hour - If you're hosting a dry event, then no worries, but alcohol typically goes a long way in helping people loosen up and have fun, especially at corporate events where people might be a little more reserved in front of their colleagues.

2. Dinner - During the dinner hour we typically provide prerecorded background music.  It's hard to get people to sing, dance, or clap along when they're eating.  This part of the night is usually reserved more for conversing.
3. Speeches - Speeches should happen before the dueling pianos performance because it's the best time to get everyone's attention.  This typically happens while dinner is still going on or right before dinner is served.
4. Entertainment - This is our time to shine.  Once we start, we don't take a break until our performance time is done.  While this is happening, we're typically teaching the crowd about their involvement in the show and building momentum to get people out of their seats to dance or sing along.  This is extremely hard to do if we have to stop the energy that we're building every 30 minutes or an hour into the show for speeches or gift giveaways.  For that reason and to give us the most success in entertaining your guests, we ask that there are no interruptions in the show.

5. Gift Giveaways/Raffles - These should go at the very end of the evening.  A lot of people stick around up to this point, but tend to leave once the giveaways and raffles are done.  It's also extremely hard to get people excited when they didn't win anything or they didn't get the big gift.
